Delivering a consistent message to all demographics, across multiple platforms

Yukon Governments Department of Health and Social Services’ mandate is to promote, protect and enhance the well-being of Yukoners through a continuum of quality, accessible and appropriate health and social services.

The challenge

With people going back to work and school after lockdowns—and the unprecedented focus on COVID-19 in the preceding two years—there was a potential for people to forget that the flu was still out there, and allow it to become a serious health issue. The Yukon Government was rolling out a flu shot campaign with a clear message and tight time window. The challenge was to get that message out—quickly and effectively—to the entire territory. All genders, all ages 13 and up.

The Solution

We identified media channels that would reach the diverse demographics of the territory, then created collateral for each. This included a mix of traditional media and digital. Direct mailers to every household in the Yukon, posters, newspaper, and radio ads. Animated ads that ran on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, and Google Display ads for all demographics across the Yukon.
