Established in 1991, the Northern Contaminants Program addresses the challenges contaminants pose to traditional foods. MBDC collaborated closely with the Council of Yukon First Nations to design and launch a website that effectively communicates the initiative's objectives and impact. This digital platform is designed to equip communities with essential knowledge about food safety, ensuring the preservation of traditional food sources and bolstering community health and awareness. Developed on Webflow, the website offers a cohesive platform to present their multifaceted approach, which includes monitoring contaminants in wildlife, assessing human health impacts, scrutinizing air quality, and fostering community education. Additionally, the site emphasizes the importance of collective effort by inviting researchers to learn about Yukon First Nations' culture and protocols.
