About

We’re a Whitehorse team of makers, thinkers and doers, working with the organizations shaping culture, community and change.

MBDC started in 2016 on a simple idea: good design begins with listening. A decade later that’s still the first thing we do on any project, and it’s usually where the real brief turns up, somewhere in the third meeting, after the one that was written down.

Since then we’ve worked with First Nations governments, public health programs, nonprofits, education bodies and northern businesses. Plain language, accessibility to WCAG standards and OCAP principles aren’t extras we add to that work. They are the work. We’re curious people who care about craft, and we’d rather ask one more question than guess.
