Overview
Quitpath is a Yukon-based smoking cessation program offering free coaching, medications, and support to help Yukoners quit or reduce their use of commercial tobacco. Available across all Yukon communities, Quitpath combines personalized coaching with nicotine replacement therapy, an approach proven to triple the likelihood of successfully quitting.
Challenge
Quitpath’s previous website was hampered by disorganized content and a confusing structure. Users struggled to find relevant help because information was scattered across too many pages with unclear navigation. The site contained redundant, outdated, and low-value content, while important tools like progress tracking and cost calculators were absent or poorly integrated. Research showed that users prioritized access to quit coaches and medications, but the website did not effectively guide them to these essential services.
Solution
MBDC led a user-centered redesign of Quitpath, starting with qualitative research, including client interviews and competitive analysis of leading cessation websites. We used these insights to reorganize the site around core user goals, streamlining navigation so users could quickly reach high-priority services like quit coaching, medication support, and self-guided tools. Through collaborative workshops with stakeholders, we audited and simplified content, set a clear hierarchy, and rewrote messaging in plain language, aligned with government accessibility standards. The new site features a WCAG 2.0–compliant design system, clean card-based layouts, Yukon-inspired illustrations, and intuitive icons. Key tools like progress tracking and cost calculators are now central to the user experience. The result is a clear, accessible, and human-centered digital platform that strengthens connections to quit coaches and provides a scalable foundation for future growth.
