The ground rules for using this site.
Last updated: September 9, 2026
This site, mbdc.io, is run by MBDC Communications Inc. in Whitehorse, Yukon. These terms set out what you can expect from the site and what we ask of you when you use it. By using the site you agree to them. They are short on purpose.
The short version
Look around as much as you like. Share links freely. Don’t copy our work or our clients’ work without asking. Case studies describe what happened on real projects, not what we promise for yours. If we end up working together, a signed agreement will govern that, not this page.
Using the site
You’re welcome to browse the site, read the case studies, and share links to any page. Please don’t use the site to do anything unlawful, try to break into it or disrupt it, scrape or bulk-download its content, or send spam or malicious code through the project form. We may block access from anyone who does.
Our work, and our clients’ work
Everything on this site, including the writing, design, code, photography, illustration and video, belongs to MBDC or is used with permission, and it’s protected by copyright and trademark law.
Much of what you’ll see is work we created for clients. Their logos, brands and materials belong to them, and we show them here as a portfolio, with their permission. That permission doesn’t extend to anyone else, so please don’t copy, adapt or reuse client work you find here.
If you’d like to reproduce something from the site, for an article, a presentation or anything else, email us. We usually say yes; we just like to know.
Case studies are not promises
Case studies and results on this site describe real projects and what happened on them. Every project is different, and outcomes depend on scope, budget, timing and how closely we get to work together. Nothing here is a guarantee of what you’ll get.
The project form
When you send a brief through the site, make sure the information is yours to share, and don’t include anything confidential or sensitive until we have an agreement in place. We treat briefs as described in our privacy policy.
Links to other sites
We link to client sites, social media and other places we think are useful. Those sites are run by other people, and we’re not responsible for what’s on them or how they handle your information.
What we can’t promise
We work hard to keep the site accurate, current and available, but we provide it as it is. We can’t guarantee it will be error-free, that it will always be up, or that everything on it will be complete or current. Please use your own judgment before relying on it.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, MBDC isn’t liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from anything you rely on here, whether direct or indirect. Some laws don’t allow limits like this, and nothing here takes away rights you have that can’t be waived.
Working with us
If we take on a project for you, a separate written agreement such as a proposal, statement of work or services agreement will govern it. If that agreement and these terms ever disagree, the agreement wins.
Yukon law
These terms are governed by the laws of Yukon and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute about them will be dealt with in the courts of Yukon.
Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. The date at the top shows the current version. If you keep using the site after a change, that’s your acceptance of the updated terms.
