Everyone should be able to use this site.

A lot of our work is for people who are often left out of design, so it would be strange if our own site left anyone out. This page explains what we’ve done to make mbdc.io usable for everyone, what we know still needs work, and how to reach us if something gets in your way.
The standard we work to
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. No Yukon law requires a company our size to meet it. We do it because it’s the right bar, and because it makes the site better for everyone.
What that looks like here
Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus ring and a skip link to the main content. Headings, landmarks and lists are real HTML, so screen readers can move through a page the way sighted people scan it. Text keeps at least a 4.5 to 1 contrast ratio against its background, and the site works when you zoom to 200 percent or turn on reflow.
Every image has alt text written by a person. Where a client’s logo or a mockup contains words, the alt text says what they are. Decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
Motion is a choice. The animations, the smooth scrolling and the moving logo wall all switch off when your device is set to reduce motion. Videos wait for you to press play, and nothing flashes.
The project form works with a keyboard and a screen reader. Every field is labelled, errors are announced and explained next to the field they belong to, nothing is timed, and there is no CAPTCHA. If the form doesn’t suit you, the same page offers an email address and a phone number.
We test every page with axe-core against WCAG A and AA and with manual keyboard checks before it goes live, and we re-run the tests whenever the site changes.
What we know about
Some case studies show client work that includes text inside images, such as posters and packaging. We describe it in the alt text, but the words themselves aren’t selectable. A few third-party services we link to, such as LinkedIn and Google Maps, have their own accessibility practices that we can’t control.
If you find something not listed here, we would genuinely like to know.
Tell us what’s in the way
If any part of this site is hard to use, email newbusiness@mbdc.io with “Accessibility” in the subject line, or call 867 444 0329. Tell us which page and what happened, and what would help. We’ll reply within two business days and fix what we can. If you need something from the site in another format, ask and we’ll send it.
