Overview

MBDC has partnered with the Council of Yukon First Nations to develop a website that integrates traditional Indigenous knowledge with Western science, aiming to revitalize and protect salmon populations in Yukon. This digital platform, developed using Webflow, holds significant cultural importance and features a dedicated section to celebrate the role of salmon in First Nations heritage. It unites 14 Yukon First Nations alongside federal and territorial governments and serves as a gathering place for salmon advocates across the Pacific region, including British Columbia, Washington State, and Alaska. Interactive features such as the Yukon Salmon Knowledge Hub encourage collaboration in research and salmon conservation through both traditional and modern approaches.
