Making health care card updates easier for Yukoners

A bilingual Government of Yukon campaign by MBDC promoting the new online health care card update tool through posters, social video and digital advertising.

Challenge

Yukoners need current health care card information to keep their coverage active. But updating personal details feels like admin, which makes it easy to put off and easy to get wrong. The Government of Yukon had a new online tool for updating cards, and needed a bilingual campaign that made the process feel simple, quick and worth doing today, in communities across the territory.

Solution

We made a bilingual campaign of two posters and two videos. The messaging is plain language throughout, paired with warm Yukon illustration, so the tool feels approachable rather than bureaucratic. It shows people exactly what they can do: update personal information, change an address, keep coverage active, in a few clicks. Posters went out across the Yukon and the videos ran on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

Results

The message is the same in English and French, on a poster in a community hall and in a short video in a feed: update your card, it takes a few clicks, your coverage stays active. A piece of admin now looks like something worth doing today.
